Because of Her Uganda

Is a feminist youth led organization dedicated to celebrating the achievements of Ugandan women. Uganda is a robust society with a rich culture filled women who have worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life for women in Uganda and the general society at large. Often their contributions and work are left undocumented in our history their stories and wealth of knowledge untapped and kept out of the public stage.

We at Because of Her research, profile and make use of art & story telling to preserve the history of phenomenal Ugandan women from those who fought for our rights and broke glass ceiling to those who are working to make a change today.

We recognize the importance of access to quality education for young girls and women as education is a key pillar in bridging the gender gap between men and women. Our organization prioritizes this need by promoting and facilitating increased access to quality education to all girls and women in Uganda.

We at Because Of Her envision a holistic educational experience for all girls in Uganda, one that does not only include traditional academia but make spaces for the unique needs of girls in the educational space and prepares them for the life ahead as a phenomenal women capable of accomplishing anything she desires.

We are an organization that values leadership and the unique impact that it has on society when women take on high-impact leadership positions.

We are dedicated to promoting the need for women to take on more leadership roles in society & participating in the decision making spaces that affect us the most.

We host mentorship programs and leadership trainings facilitated by a wide range of high impact women leaders to spur the younger generation of women onto leadership and equip them with the confidence and soft skills required to thrive in today’s society as a woman.
